My name is Gus Fimple. I started Aris Global Imports because during my time in the U.S. Navy, I was fortunate enough to travel the world and experience other cultures on their own soil. I believe that everyone can benefit from experiencing the things that make global cultures unique and exciting. It's not always practical to travel overseas, so I decided to bring the world to La Crosse. (Although, I HIGHLY recommend traveling as much as possible...there's no bigger shame than an empty passport; and it's always best to see the world through your own eyes!)
I started by making connections with wine makers in Greece. I really love Greece, and they make some of the best wines in the world. Wine is the ultimate expression of a region in time. Galileo said, "Wine is sunlight, held together by water." Water that is steeped in the soil of an area that has been cultivated over centuries. Imbued with the very DNA of the growers...if you want to know about a culture, drink their wine.
